A statement said that Apple Inc. Russia has halted sales of the iPhone and its other highly prized technology products in the aftermath of the invasion of Ukraine. Apple said the company stands with all those who have suffered as a result of the violence.

The tech giant on Tuesday said it stopped exporting products in the country’s sales channel last week before halting sales. In addition, it is removing the RT News and Sputnik News applications from the App Store outside Russia.

Apple issued a statement saying that we have stopped all exports to our cell channel in Russia. Along with this, Apple Pay and other services have also been limited. Nothing can be downloaded from the Apple App Store in Russia anymore.

Apple said in a statement that we are deeply concerned about the Russian invasion of Ukraine. We are supporting humanitarian efforts. The company said that we are providing assistance for the refugee crisis and doing everything we can to support our teams in the region.

Following the action, Apple appealed to stop selling the products in Russia. Ukraine’s Deputy Prime Minister Mykhailo Fedorov said the move could help turn Russian youth against aggression.

He also called on the company to shut down its local app store, which it hasn’t done yet. This is not the first time Apple has taken such action. Apple temporarily halted sales in Turkey last year due to economic turmoil and currency fluctuations.
