What is a masked Aadhaar card?
The last four digits of the person’s Aadhaar number are visible in the Masked Aadhaar Card issued by UIDAI. The first eight digits of the Aadhaar card are not written but are replaced with ‘XXXX-XXXX’.
Therefore, if an Aadhaar card comes into the hands of a stranger, he does not know the entire Aadhaar number. This is how the misuse of Aadhaar card can be prevented.
How to download masked Aadhaar card?
If you also want to download Aadhaar card with the above security you can do it in six easy steps:
1) Go to ‘Download Aadhaar’ option by visiting the official website of UIDAI.
2) Select Aadhaar / VID / Enrollment ID option. Then select the masked base.
3) Fill in the required details and select the ‘Request OTP’ option.
4) OTP will come on the mobile which is linked with Aaghar.
5) Enter OTP and click on ‘Download Aadhaar’.
6) At the same time your masked Aadhaar card will be ready to download.
Password for security
The masked Aadhaar card will be available in PDF format. This PDF file will be password protected. The password for the masked Aadhaar card will be sent to your e-mail.
