Parents can get their newborn child’s Aadhar card made through child’s discharge certificate and parent’s Aadhar card. 

After the child turns 5 years old, it is necessary to update the Aadhar card with the biometric. 

Otherwise, your Aadhaar may become inactive. How can I update Aadhaar?

UIDAI gave information

Aadhar card issuing body UIDAI recently tweeted and informed that the Aadhaar of a newborn child can be used till the age of 5 years.

If the biometric is not updated after 5 days, then the child’s Aadhaar becomes inactive.

This is how the child’s Aadhaar can be updated

According to the UIDAI, you will have to visit the nearest Aadhaar center to update the biometrics of the child on the completion of five years. 

After getting the biometric update of your 5 year old child, when he turns 15 years old, he will have to do the biometric updation of his Aadhar card once again.
