Ramayana Express waiters uniform Update: IRCTC has changed the uniform of the waiters after the controversy in Ramayana Express, now instead of saffron, there will be black pants and blue shirt.
There was a dispute regarding the saffron uniform of the waiters in the train Ramayana Express being run on the Ramayana circuit for pilgrimage sites related to Lord Rama.
The saints of Ujjain had also written a letter to the Railway Minister regarding this and threatened to stage a dharna on the railway track in Delhi if the saffron-coloured uniform was not changed, after which the railways made the waiters’ uniform saffron kurta pajama to avoid the controversy.
Changed to normal professional pant shirt, Awadhesh Puri said that if the saffron dress of the waiters is not changed, then sadhus and saints will stop this train on 12 December at Delhi’s Safdarjung railway station.
He said that the saints and saints will sit on the railway tracks.
This is necessary to protect Hinduism. He has taken a tough stand on this issue in Ujjain.
The city of Ujjain has Shri Mahakaleshwar temple of Lord Shiva and Simhastha Kumbh Mela is held here every 12 years.
