Rajya Sabha Polls: Big Upheaval In Karnataka, JDS MLA Did Cross Voting, Said- I Love Congress

Voting is underway in Karnataka for the Rajya Sabha elections. Voting began at 9 am on Friday. While the ruling BJP can win two seats, the opposition Congress is likely to get one. Apart from this, for the fourth seat, there is a tough fight between the three parties – the ruling BJP, the opposition Congress and the regional party JDS. However, now there is news of cross voting by JDS MLAs.

JDS MLA K Srinivasa Gowda publicly said that he did not vote for his party’s candidate in the Rajya Sabha elections, but in favor of the Congress. After voting, he told the media, “I have voted for Congress because I like it.

Congress’ state unit president DK Shivakumar said on Friday, his party’s focus is on getting all the votes of its MLAs. “JDS leaders are trying to contact our MLAs. They should know how Congress has helped them.

At the same time, JDS leader HD Kumaraswamy said, “CT Ravi is the general secretary of BJP, so how did he enter the Congress office? This shows that CT Ravi had gone to meet Siddaramaiah to help the BJP candidate win.” On the other hand, BJP is also hoping to get the benefit of Siddaramaiah’s displeasure.

Let us inform that Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, actor-turned-politician Jaggesh of BJP and former Union Minister Jairam Ramesh from Congress are likely to win easily. Mansoor Ali Khan of Congress, Kupendra Reddy of JD(S) and Lahar Singh of BJP are contesting on the fourth seat.
