The Delhi unit of Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) on Monday called upon the people of the city to gather in temples on Tuesday and participate in the mass recitation of Hanuman Chalisa to protest the June 10 violence in several parts of the country.
The VHP issued a statement alleging that on June 10, as part of a well-planned conspiracy to defame India, there were violent demonstrations in mosques after prayers and pelting of stones at temples and houses.
Demonstrations were held in different parts of the country on June 10 against the controversial remarks made by former Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) office-bearers about Prophet Mohammad.
Delhi’s VHP unit chief Kapil Khanna said in a statement,
I call upon the Hindu society of Delhi to gather in small and big temples of the city to protest this and tomorrow (14th June 2022) at eight o’clock in the night for the Hanuman Chalisa mass.
I invite you to participate in the lesson.
