Prime Minister Narendra Modi has launched PM Gatishakti National Master Plan to accelerate India’s infrastructure development. This plan has been launched for multi-modal connectivity. Describing it as a historic event for the country’s infrastructure scenario, the Prime Minister’s Office said that the Gatishakti project will end departmental problems. This will institutionalize the entire scheme for stakeholders in major infrastructure projects.

Centralized portal will be ready

Under this scheme, a centralized portal will be created, which will include all the existing and planned infrastructure programs of 16 central ministries and departments. Gatishakti plan is based on the six pillars of Comprehensiveness, Prioritization, Optimization, Synchronization and being Analytical and Dynamic.

Infra projects under Pradhan Mantri Gatishakti will be designed and completed from a common perspective and infra schemes of various ministries and state governments will be included in it. At the launch event, Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal said that this initiative will not only give a new direction to infra construction but will also give a new impetus to the existing projects.
