A fire broke out in a building near Mundka metro station in Delhi on Friday. Soon the building erupted in flames. On receiving information, 24 fire tenders reached the spot and started extinguishing the fire.
But even after many efforts, the fire could not be brought under control. So far 27 people have lost their lives in this fire.
Several leaders including President Ram Nath Kovind, Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu and Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed grief over the incident.
The fire in this building of Mundka was so terrible that the people trapped there jumped from the third floor to save their lives.
He has been admitted to the hospital. There is an atmosphere of panic in the area after the incident. It is being told that a factory was running in this building.
The people working in this were trapped in it. NDRF team has also reached the spot and is involved in the rescue operation.
At the same time, an eyewitness present on the spot told that as soon as the incident of fire happened, immediately the people of the village reached and started trying to control the fire.
Along with this, he called the police and fire department. This incident happened around 4.30 pm. He told that about 300 people were present in the building.
Sunil Chaudhary, Deputy Fire Officer, Delhi Fire Service said that some people jumped from the building to escape the flames, after which they have been admitted to the hospital.
