Seven properties of Bahubali leader Atik Ahmed have been seized by the police which is worth 60 crores. The administration is collecting information about his other assets.
Prayagraj: Prayagraj police have seized seven different properties against Bahubali leader Atiq Ahmad while taking action under Gangster Act. A total of 60 crore properties have been seized at seven places including Dhumganj, Khulabad and Civil Lines. Police are collecting other latest information about these seized assets so that sufficient evidence can be collected against the Bahubali leader.
On Wednesday, the police seized 5 properties of Atiq Ahmad which amounted to a total of 25 crores, including two houses in the Chakia area which are worth 2.5 crores, besides 2.5 crores houses in Om Prakash Sabha Council Nagar and Kalindipuram and one in Mahatma Gandhi Marg. 20 crore house is included. After this, on Thursday, the police also seized Atik Ahmed’s other property worth 35 crores which has two houses in Chakia and Karbala under Khulabad police station.
Two weeks ago, Prayagraj DM Bhanu Chandra Goswami had ordered attachment of Atik Ahmed’s immovable properties under the Gangster Act. He had also sought a status report in this regard by 28 August.
SSP Abhishek Dixit said that the police have seized seven properties of the jailed Atiq Ahmad within two days totaling 60 crores. More of his assets will be confiscated in the coming days.
It is said that all these properties were made illegally. After getting information about these seven, the DM ordered to seize them. The SSP also said that similar action will be taken against other Bahubali leaders in the coming days.
