BJP Preparing To Form Government In Maharashtra? Chandrakant Patil Told- Uddhav’s Chair In Danger Due To Inflammatory Speeches Of Which Leader

As some MLAs of the ruling Shiv Sena in Maharashtra could not be contacted, state Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) president Chandrakant Patil on Tuesday said his party has nothing to do with the political developments.

Patil, however, said that if the BJP gets any proposal from Maharashtra minister Eknath Shinde to form the government in the state, he will “certainly consider it”.

BJP state unit president Chandrakant Dada Patil said that we are keeping a close watch on the political developments. It would be a bit premature to say that this will change anything.

Sanjay Raut’s provocative speeches have caused problems in his party. Eknath Shinde’s rebellion is an example of what people will not tolerate.

Significantly, a day after the ruling Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) alliance suffered a setback in the Maharashtra Legislative Council elections, a party leader on Tuesday said that Shinde could not be contacted.

However, Shiv Sena MP Sanjay Raut later told that Shinde is not in Mumbai, but he has been contacted. Some Shiv Sena MLAs, including Shinde, are reported to be at a hotel in Surat, but this is yet to be confirmed.

Raut said the BJP’s efforts to topple the MVA government in Maharashtra like Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh would not succeed. The MVA consists of Shiv Sena, Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) and Congress.

When contacted Patil in this regard, he told PTI-Bhasha, “It is an internal matter of Shiv Sena. We do not know why Shinde is in Surat with his associates. We have nothing to do with his move.

“If the BJP gets any proposal from Shinde to form the government, then of course we will seriously consider it,” he said. After all, we have worked together before, so it will be much easier to work with him and run the government.”

Patil also claimed that Raut was solely responsible for the deteriorating relations between Shiv Sena and BJP. “He (Raut) is causing a lot of damage to the state too… and he is doing it for someone else,” the BJP leader alleged.

Shiv Sena broke alliance with its long-time ally BJP after the 2019 Maharashtra Assembly elections over the issue of sharing the chief minister’s post. The Shiv Sena then formed the government in the state along with the NCP and the Congress.

Amidst this whole episode, Union Minister Narayan Rane, who belongs to Maharashtra, supported Shinde. He tweeted, “Very good Eknath ji. You have taken the right decision at the right time.

Otherwise, you too could have had the same fate as Anand Dighe.” Hailing from Thane district of Maharashtra, Dighe was one of the prominent leaders of Shiv Sena. He passed away in 2001.
