Domestic LPG Price Increases: Saturday morning has become a shock to the general public. This is because the price of domestic cylinder (LPG) has gone up by Rs 50.
Increased prices of domestic LPG have been implemented across the country from today. Now the price of a domestic LPG cylinder in Delhi has gone up to Rs 999.50. (Record increase in domestic cylinder price by Rs 50 again).
A record increase of Rs 50 Per Cylinder
Earlier, on March 22, the price of domestic LPG was hiked by Rs 50 per cylinder. After that, the price of a subsidized 14.2 kg LPG cylinder in Delhi has reached Rs 949.50.
According to preliminary data from the petroleum industry, LPG consumption in April fell by 9.1 per cent month-on-month to 2.2 million tonnes, an increase of 5.1 per cent over April 2021. Before March, domestic LPG prices were revised on October 6 last year.
LPG cylinder goes up by Rs 102.50
Significantly, the state-owned oil companies had recently hiked the prices of commercial LPG cylinders. Commercial LPG cylinders have gone up by Rs 102.50. The price of a 19-kg commercial gas cylinder has gone up from Rs 2,253 to Rs 2,355.50 in Delhi from May 1 after the new price was introduced.
On May 1, jet fuel also became more expensive. In Delhi, the price of air turbine fuel has gone up to Rs 11,6851.46 per kiloliter. Earlier, on April 16, the price of ATF was hiked.
