The EV6 can be booked from 15 select dealerships across 12 cities with a token account of Rs 3 lakh. Booking can also be done through the website of Kia India.
Kia India while giving information on Thursday, said that it has started booking its first electric model EV6 (EV6) in the country. The EV6 is based on ‘The Electric Global Modular Platform (e-GMP)’, a dedicated platform for electric vehicles.
Only 100 units of the EV6 will be sold in India this year which will be brought in as Completely Built Units (CBUs). Which is being estimated to be booked in a few minutes. This imported model will be launched in the country next week.
The car EV6 can be booked with a token account of Rs 3 lakh exclusively through 15 select dealerships across 12 cities by paying a token of Rs 3 lakh.
Customers can also book through the Kia India website. Te Jin Park, Managing Director and CEO, Kia India said that India’s automotive industry is going through a period of transformation and Kia is at the forefront of this, which caters to every need of Indians. He said that the introduction of EV6 in the country reiterates the same.
Up to 80 percent charge in 18 minutes
According to the statement, once fully charged, the car can cover a distance of up to 528 km and can do 0-100 km/h in just 5.2 seconds.
The car can be charged from 10 per cent to 80 per cent in 18 minutes using a 350 kWh charger. It comes with all wheel drive system (in select trims), panoramic sunroof, multiple drive modes, forward collision avoidance assist, lane keep assist and over 60 connected features.
